Abstract:

In a cross-section of a tire in the width direction thereof, the distance (Hout) in the radial direction of the tire between each imaginary line (14a, 14b) and the tread's ground contact end (15a) which is on the outer side with respect to the vehicle is set to be less than the distance (Hin) in the radial direction of the tire on the inner side with respect to the vehicle, the imaginary lines (14a, 14b) being lines which pass through the maximum width positions (13a, 13b) of the tire's side section (12a) on the outer side with respect to the vehicle and of the tire's side section (12b) on the inner side with respect to the vehicle and which extends so as to be perpendicular to the tire's equator surface, the maximum width positions (13a, 13b) being the positions at which the distances from the tire's equator surface (E) to the tire's side sections are greatest. Also, the curvature radius (Rout), at the maximum width position (13a), of the tire's side section (12a) on the outer side with respect to the vehicle is set to be less than the curvature radius (Rin) on the inner side with respect to the vehicle. The negative ratio of the tread's ground contact surface (10) at the half part of the tire which is on the outer side with respect to the vehicle is set to be less than that at the half part of the tire which is on the inner side of the tire when the tire is mounted on the vehicle. In both the half parts, the outer ends, in the radial direction of the tire, of the turned back portions (7b) of the carcass (7) which are turned back about the bead cores (6) are disposed at radial positions at a distance equal to 40% or more of the height (SH) of the cross-section of the tire in a no-load condition.
