Abstract:
The present design concerns wheels of enhanced elasticity with spokes under tension, in particular rimless pneumatic wheels with flexible spokes. The proposed pneumatic rimless wheel is provided with pairs of additional flexible spokes (6) arranged in one radial plane on different sides of the corresponding pairs of flexible crossed spokes (5) and attached by their ends to the hub (4) and the deformation limiting element which takes the form of a removable toroidal sheath (2). The sheath (2) accommodates a gas-filled toroidal chamber (1), one end of the additional flexible spoke (6) and the end of the corresponding flexible crossed spoke (5) being fixed at the same points (7 and 8) which are diametrically opposite to one another on the deformation limiting element, while the cut-out diameter of the toroidal sheath (2) is less than that of the toroidal chamber (1).
