Abstract:
The pneumatic tire according to the present invention comprises: a planar coil, provided inside a cavity region, for receiving an AC magnetic field that has passed through a carcass ply layer, and generating an AC signal; and an element for receiving a supply of power converted from the AC signal. A plane of a receiving region of the receiving coil is provided, so that the plane of said receiving region faces the tire widthwise direction, in a region that, with respect to the tire radial direction, is between an outermost part of a bead core in the tire radial direction and an innermost part of a belt layer in the tire radial direction. In addition, when a length D1 is defined as the maximum dimension of the receiving region, of the receiving coil, along the tire radial direction and distances L1, L2 are defined as the respective distances from the receiving region of the receiving coil to the nearest parts of the bead core and the belt, the receiving coil is disposed so that the distance L1 and the distance L2 are greater than the length D1 divided by 4.
