Abstract:
Provided are: a pneumatic tire that is capable of displaying arbitrary information as necessary, the visibility of the displayed information being excellent, and that is capable of preventing the loss of information display objects; and a method for manufacturing said tire. This pneumatic tire is provided with a laminate that includes a film layer comprising at least one layer positioned on a tire surface, and a base rubber layer positioned on the underside of said film layer. The film layer is constructed from a thermoplastic resin, or a thermoplastic elastomer formed by blending a thermoplastic resin with an elastomer. The film layer on the outermost side, which is exposed to the tire surface, of the laminate, is colored a different color than the color of the layer adjacent to the underside, and a plurality of openings are formed by laser processing on the film layer on the outermost side. The layer adjacent to the underside of the film layer on the outermost side is exposed via the openings.
