Abstract:
A pneumatic tire of a nominal flatness of 60 or above having remarkably improved run-flat durability as compared with conventional run-flat tires, wherein disposed between a belt end and a reinforced rubber layer in a shoulder region and between adjoining tire component members is at least one cushion rubber layer having a loss tangent not more than the loss tangent (tan $g(d)) of carcass ply cord-covered rubber. Further, when the carcass consists of a plurality of plies, severing at least one ply below the belt will further improve the rocking ride-in comfortableness.
