Abstract:
A pneumatic tire capable of increasing both the rim slipping resistance and the durability thereof by appropriating the shape of a bead base, wherein a polygonal bead core (3) with a bottom-side (2) extending along the generally lateral direction of the tire is buried in a bead part (1). Also, the bead part (1) comprises the bead base (6) extending through a distance between a bead heel (4) and a bead toe (5). A maximum displacement point (11) is positioned within 25% or less of the width W of the bottom-side of the bead core with respect to a third base point (10), an interference ta at the maximum displacement point (11) is 1.1 to 1.3 times an interference tb at a second base point (9). The bead base (6) comprises a first tapered part (12) extending through a distance at least between the bead heel (4) and a first base point (8) and having a tapered angle Ѳ1 which matches or larger by 3&ring or less than the tapered angle ѲBS of the bead seat of a reference rim (R).
