Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide a pneumatic tire in which a distance between ply cords is corrected, the pneumatic tire being capable of preventing rubber deterioration caused by heat generation and heat accumulation due to increase in the thickness of rubber. The pneumatic tire of the invention is characterized in that a carcass (2) comprises a first portion (21) in which the distance (x) between ply cords of a carcass body section (2a) and a carcass folded section (2b) gradually decreases from the position of a bead core (1) toward the radially outer side of the tire, a second portion (22) in which the distance (x) between ply cords gradually increases from the first portion (21) toward the radially outer side of the tire, and a third portion (23) in which the distance (x) between ply cords gradually decreases from the second portion (22) toward the radially outer side of the tire, and in that a notch portion (3) is provided by notching, toward the widthwise inner side of the tire, a skin rubber portion on the outer side in the width direction of the tire of the carcass folded portion (2b) of the second portion (22).
