Abstract:
Provided is a highly durable pneumatic tire in which a layered sheet, formed by layering an air permeation prevention layer made from a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer, and a tie-rubber layer, is used as an inner liner layer; and in which it is possible to prevent cracking of the tie-rubber layer occurring in the vicinity of a splice section of the layered sheet after use of the tire has started. A pneumatic tire in which a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer is used in an air permeation prevention layer, wherein, when P is an intersection of a perpendicular drawn from a cavity-side end part (A) of a splice section of the air permeation prevention layer with the air permeation prevention layer on the non-cavity side, and Q is a position point on the air permeation prevention layer separated by 25 mm, in the tire circumference direction, from the cavity-side end part (A) of the splice section of the air permeation prevention layer, then a slack, caused by a concave/convex structure, is formed at least on the air permeation prevention layer between points P and Q such that the length Lb of the air permeation prevention layer actually passing through points P and Q satisfies a relationship (1.03 × La) ≤ Lb ≤ (1.5 × La) with respect to the length La of a straight line linking points P and Q.
