Abstract:

The present invention is a pneumatic tire (1) which is provided with an inner liner (9) and a carcass ply (6) that is arranged adjacent to the inner liner (9) and is obtained by embedding a cord in a rubber layer. The inner liner (9) is configured of a polymer laminate that is composed of: a first layer which has a thickness of 0.05-0.6 mm and is formed of a polymer composition containing SIBS and at least one rubber component that is selected from among natural rubbers, isoprene rubbers and butyl rubbers; and a second layer which has a thickness of 0.01-0.3 mm and is formed of a polymer composition containing SIS and/or SIB and at least one rubber component that is selected from among natural rubbers, isoprene rubbers and butyl rubbers. The second layer is arranged so as to be in contact with the rubber layer of the carcass ply (6), and if D is the diameter of the cord, the distance (L) from the plane passing through the center of a cross-section of the cord to the second layer is 0 mm or more but (1 + D/2) mm or less.
