Abstract:
A pneumatic tire that is attached to a vehicle such that a first side in the tire width direction is on the vehicle outside. The tread surface of the pneumatic tire has four circumference-direction main grooves (52, 54, 56, 58) that extend in the tire circumference direction, and five land sections (60, 62, 64, 66, 68) partitioned by said circumference-direction main grooves. When the groove width of a first circumference-direction main groove (58), which is first when viewed from the first side among the four circumference-direction main grooves (52, 54, 56, 58), is W1, and the groove width of a second circumference-direction main groove (54), which is second when viewed from the first side, is W2, the proportion W2/W1 is 4-5. When the groove surface area ratio, in an area on the first side straddling the tire center line (CL) among the areas on the tread surface, is Sout, and when the groove surface area ratio in an area on the second side is Sin, the proportion Sin/Sout is 1.1-1.2. The edge of shoulder sloping grooves (66a, 68a) provided in shoulder land sections (66, 68) on both sides are chamfered (66b, 68c).
