Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire in which a position in which to install a band-shaped sound-absorbing material, which adheres to a tire inner surface, is devised and an incision is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the band-shaped sound-absorbing material, thereby making it possible to simultaneously improve both the high-speed durability and the adhesiveness of the band-shaped sound-absorbing material. This pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass layer 10 spanning between a pair of bead sections 3, and a belt layer 14 disposed on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer 10, a band-shaped sound-absorbing material 6 that extends in a tire circumference direction adhering to a region that corresponds to a tread section 1 on a tire inner surface 4, wherein the band-shaped sound-absorbing material 6 is locally disposed at a position outside of a central region of the region that corresponds to the tread section 1, and the outer peripheral surface of the band-shaped sound-absorbing material 6 has a plurality of incisions 7 that extend in the tire circumference direction.
