Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire wherein road ability on poor-quality surfaces, abrasion resistance, cut/chip resistance, and degree of pyrogenicity are improved over the conventional level. This pneumatic tire is characterized by: comprising a tread rubber 7 with a shoulder groove depth d of 10 mm or more; the rubber composition constituting the tread rubber 7 being obtained by blending 60 to 70 parts by mass of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 70 to 130 m2/g, 0.5 parts by mass or more of sulfur, and a vulcanization accelerator per 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber comprising 50 to 70 mass% of styrene butadiene rubber, 20 to 30 mass% of butadiene rubber, and 10 to 30 mass% of natural rubber; the average glass transition temperature of the diene rubber being -65°C or less; the ratio Ma/Ms of vulcanization accelerator content parts by mass Ma to sulfur content parts by mass Ms being 1.0-1.3; and the rubber hardness at 20°C of the tread rubber 7 being 65-70.
