Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a pneumatic tire with which it is possible to reduce the weight of the tire while improving puncture resistance. [Solution] A pneumatic tire 1 in which a puncture prevention member 7 is affixed to at least a part of the inner surface of the tire body, wherein: the puncture prevention member has an inner pressure retention layer 8, and a protective layer 9 that is disposed in at least a part of a region in which the inner pressure retention layer is present, the protective layer 9 being disposed on the tire-outer-surface side of the inner pressure retention layer; the protective layer has a plurality of protective materials 9a in a planar shape, the plurality of protective materials 9a having a smaller area than the inner pressure retention layer; and at least some of the protective materials among the plurality of protective materials are disposed in a state partially overlapping other protective materials and are each partially affixed to the inner pressure retention layer.
