Abstract:
A pneumatic tire according to the present invention which has a tread comprising a cap tread and a base tread, wherein: the cap tread comprises a rubber composition which contains 30-120 parts by mass of silica which has a BET specific surface area of 180-280m2/g relative to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component which contains at least 10 mass% and less than 30 mass% of natural rubber; and formula (1) 150≤C/B×100≤900 (in the formula, C is the proportion (mass%) of the mass of the cap tread relative to the mass of the tread overall, and B represents the proportion (mass%) of the mass of the base tread relative to the mass of the tread overall) is satisfied, which makes it possible to provide a pneumatic tire which achieves an excellent balance between fuel economy performance, wear resistance and formability/workability.
