Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire with which steering stability and durability of the tire can be improved while transponder communicability is ensured. This pneumatic tire has a structure in which a carcass layer 4 is rolled up around a bead core 5 from the inside to the outside of the tire, wherein an end part 4e of a rolled-up section 4B of the carcass layer 4 is disposed between a body section 4A of the carcass layer 4 and a belt layer 7, a transponder 20 extending along a tire circumferential direction is embedded between the rolled-up section 4B of the carcass layer 4 and a rubber layer disposed on the outside of the carcass layer 4 at a sidewall section, and the transponder 20 is disposed between a position P1 that is 15 mm outward in a tire diameter direction from an upper end 5e of the bead core 5 and a position P2 that is 5 mm inward in the tire diameter direction from an end part 7e of the belt layer 7.
