Abstract:
A pneumatic tire according to the present invention comprises: a pair of bead cores; a carcass ply which includes a main portion positioned between the pair of bead cores, and folded-back portions which are continuous to the main portion, and each of which is formed by folding back the carcass ply from the inside to the outside in the tire width direction around each bead core; a cover rubber which covers the outsides, in the tire width direction, of the main portion and the folded-back portions of the carcass ply to form a tire outer surface; and reinforcement layers each of which covers a portion inside the tire outer surface of the cover rubber and outside, in the tire width direction, at least a part of the folded-back portion, wherein the reinforcement layers are formed of non-woven fabric made of metal fibers or rubber sheet members including embedded metal fibers.
