Abstract:
Disclosed by the present application are a point cloud display method and device, which relate to the technical field of autonomous driving or assisted driving and which may be used for processing a point cloud obtained by lidar, and obtaining a point cloud which can be displayed on an HMI device mounted in a vehicle. The method is applied to a vehicle-mounted system, the method comprising: determining from a first point cloud a point used for describing a target object; the first point cloud is a point cloud used for describing the area surrounding the vehicle where the vehicle-mounted system is located, the target object being the object which the vehicle-mounted system needs to recognize; according to the point used for describing the target object, generating a second point cloud; displaying the second point cloud. The present invention reduces the amount of laser point cloud data that must be processed and displayed by the on-board system, thereby reducing the hardware requirements of the vehicle-mounted system.
