Title:
POLARISING ANTI-DAZZLE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/106891
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The inventive polarising antiglare device is used for suppressing glaring light and can be used for locator devices based on polarised emission. Said antiglare device comprises a filter arranged prior to an emission detector, lateral mirrors, a rear-view mirror or a rear screen provided with polarising filters with an extended suppression angle for glare cross-polarisation emission and the antireflection coating applied thereto, a polarised emission source with a high energy potential obtained by using both orthogonal polarisation components of auxiliary illumination. Said antiglare device can also comprise a unit for control the spatial angular location of the plane of maximum suppression of glare emission by means of a movable visor filter provided with an electrical or electromechanical actuator in order to extend working angles when a transport means has the maximum angular position.
