Provided are: a polarising plate comprising a polariser, a thin-film layer which allows light polarised by the polariser to pass through and has an in-plane phase difference value (Ro) of from 500 to 3,000 nm, and a coating layer which is formed on one surface of the thin-film layer and has a Hayes value of from 15 to 35%; and a liquid crystal display device comprising the polarising plate.
