Abstract:
Disclosed are a polarizer and a liquid crystal display device. The polarizer comprises: a first protective layer (1); a polarizing layer (2), the first protective layer (1) being arranged on one surface of the polarizing layer (2); and a second protective layer (3), the second protective layer (3) being arranged on the other surface of the polarizing layer (2), wherein at least one of the first protective layer (1) and the second protective layer (3) has a porous structure (4). The first protective layer (1) and/or the second protective layer (3) of the polarizer has the porous structure (4), and the porous structure (4) better prevents the transfer of external heat to the polarizing layer (2), and thus, the contraction of the polarizing layer (2) can be prevented, and a glass substrate (5) can be effectively prevented from bending when a display module is manufactured.
