Abstract:

Disclosed is a polarizing eyeglass lens having excellent impact resistance, which is free from separation, dirt adhesion or the like even when the lens contains an ultraviolet absorbent. The polarizing eyeglass lens is obtained by inserting a functional film, which is obtained by bonding a polycarbonate film having a retardation value of not less than 3,000 nm to both sides of a polarizing film, into a mold in advance and then injection-molding a resin composition in the mold. The polarizing eyeglass lens is characterized in that the resin composition contains 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin having a viscosity average molecular weight of 17,000-26,000 and 0.1-0.5 part by weight of an ultraviolet absorbent having a molecular weight of 300 or more, with the content of low-molecular-weight components having a molecular weight of 1,000 or less being not more than 1% by weight.
