Abstract:
The present invention provides a polarizing film that has excellent durability in a high temperature, high humidity environment. A polarizing film according to the present invention is formed of a polyvinyl alcohol resin film containing iodine; and the absorbance Abs240 thereof at a wavelength of 600 nm after endurance test for 240 hours at a temperature of 60°C at a relative humidity of 95% satisfies the relational expression described below with respect to the absorbance Abs0 thereof before endurance test. Abs240/Abs0 > 1.00
A polarizing film according to one embodiment of the present invention has a single transmittance of 43.0% or more.
