Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel polarizing film in which, despite having at least two regions having differing luminosity-corrected single transmittances, the outline of each of the regions is difficult to see, and the entirety of which is capable of exhibiting anisotropic light absorption. The present invention relates to a polarizing film including a polarizing layer and a base material layer, wherein: the polarizing film includes, in the planar direction thereof, a first region, and a second region that is adjacent to the first region and has a higher luminosity-corrected single transmittance than the first region; and the second region has a luminosity-corrected single transmittance that differs from the first region by less than 30%, and includes a region X having a luminosity-corrected degree of polarization greater than 10%.
