Abstract:
The present invention provides a polarizing plate having excellent durability, a liquid crystal display device, and an organic electroluminescent device. This polarizing plate has a polarizer, an optically anisotropic layer, and a barrier layer in this order, the optically anisotropic layer being a layer formed using a composition including a polymerizable liquid crystal compound exhibiting reverse wavelength dispersion, the barrier layer being formed from a composition in which the average acid value of the solid portion thereof is 30 mg KOH/g or greater, and the oxygen permeation coefficient of the barrier layer being 2.5 cc∙mm/m2∙day∙atm or less.
