Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate including a polarizing film and a first protective film, using a polarizing plate manufacturing device including a film conveyance path which passes through a bonding section and an ultraviolet projection section in this order, the method comprising: a preparatory step of bonding, by means of the bonding section, a long polarizing film and a long first lead film via an adhesive layer formed from an ultraviolet-curable adhesive while the long polarizing film and the long first lead film are being conveyed along the film conveyance path, and projecting ultraviolet rays with the ultraviolet projection section to cure the adhesive layer; and a switching step of switching the film which is continuously conveyed along the film conveyance path from the first lead film to a long first protective film. The first lead film has an ultraviolet transmittance of 10% or more across the full range of the full width at half the maximum of the absorption spectrum of the ultraviolet-curable adhesive.
