Abstract:
Provided is a polarizing plate which comprises a polarizer having a high iodine content, wherein the amount of change in transmittance and end part color loss of the polarizing plate are significantly reduced under a high temperature-high moisture environment. This polarizing plate includes a polarizer, a protective film, and an adhesive layer. The polarizer is composed of a polyvinyl alcohol resin film containing iodine, has a thickness of 5 μm or less, and has an iodine content of 12.5 weight% or more. The adhesive layer is disposed adjacent to the polarizer and has a water vapor transmission rate of 300 g/m2/24 hr or less.
