Abstract:
A control device (30) is provided with: a pre-changing control unit for, when the number of poles before changing is selected as the number of poles of a rotating electric machine (10), controlling the currents flowing through stator windings (M1, M2) so that a torque before changing, which corresponds to the number of poles before changing, becomes a pre-changing command torque; a post-changing control unit for, when the number of poles after changing is selected as the number of poles, controlling the currents flowing through stator windings so that a torque after changing, which corresponds to the number of poles after changing, becomes a post-changing command torque; and a transient control unit for controlling either the currents flowing through the stator windings or the voltages applied to the stator windings during the period of changing the number of poles so that a magnetic pole generated in a stator (50) by the control of the pre-changing control unit does not coincide with a magnetic pole having the same polarity as that of a magnetic pole generated by the control of the post-changing control unit and generated by the control of the pre-changing control unit.
