Abstract:
A policy control method for multi-path transmission, and a related device, wherein a user equipment (UE) supporting multi-path transmission performs service packet transmission through at least two transmission sub-streams. The method comprises: a policy decision network element receiving association information about the at least two transmission sub-streams sent by a communication peer, wherein the association information comprises stream identifications of the at least two transmission sub-streams; the policy decision network element determining, according to the association information, a resource modification policy for at least one transmission sub-stream of the at least two transmission sub-streams; and the policy decision network element sending the resource modification policy to a forwarding plane network element corresponding to the at least one transmission sub-stream, so that the forwarding plane network element corresponding to the at least one transmission sub-stream modifies a resource according to the resource modification policy. By implementing the embodiments of the present invention, when a resource is modified during multi-path transmission, the amount of signalling processing can be reduced, and resource consumption is reduced.
