Abstract:
A polishing tool comprises a rotatable base plate (1) secured to a rotary tool such as a grinder and a plurality of polishing fabrics (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d and 2e), which are laminated on the undersurface of this base plate in the vertical direction. Each of these polishing fabrics (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d and 2e) includes a base sheet having a size substantially equal to that of the base plate and abrasive material provided on the undersurface of this base sheet. The abrasive material of the upper polishing fabric bites into the base sheet of the lower polishing fabric, so that the upper and lower polishing fabrics can be bonded together. When the lower polishing fabric (2e) is pulled downwardly, the bite-in of the abrasive material is released, so that only the lower polishing fabric (2e) can be peeled off.
