Abstract:

Provided is a (poly) piperazine pyrophosphate powder that is not accompanied by difficult-to-remove byproducts and does not have a color that would have a negative impact on the coloration of molded products. Also provided is a method for manufacturing said (poly) piperazine pyrophosphate powder efficiently and with high yield. Said method includes a step that produces (poly) piperazine pyrophosphate by dehydrating and condensing piperazine 2-phosphate. Performing said step in an inert gas atmosphere allows the manufacture of a (poly) piperazine pyrophosphate powder having a whiteness (W) between 80 and 100 and a yellow index (YI) between 0 and 5.
