Abstract:
Provided is a polyamide composition which comprises a high molecular weight polyamide and has a reduced amount of residual monomers. The polyamide composition comprises a polyamide comprising: one or more repeating structural units composed of repeated structural units having at least one alkylene group and at least one amide bond; and an initiator-derived structural unit. Each alkylene group in the repeating structural unit has 1 to 3 carbon atoms, the weight average molecular weight of the total repeating structural units is 200000 or more, and the content of starting monomers which are the starting materials of the mixed structural units is less than 1000 mass ppm.
