Abstract:
Provided is a polyamide-imide-based resin with which an optical film having a high modulus of elasticity while maintaining a high light transmittance can be produced, and an optical film containing the resin. The polyamide-imide-based resin has at least a constituent unit represented by formula (1) and a constituent unit represented by formula (2). [In formula (1): Y represents an optionally substituted tetravalent aromatic group; and X represents a divalent organic group represented by formula (3)] (In formula (3): each of the R1 symbols independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbons, an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbons, or an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbons; the hydrogen atoms contained in each R1 may be substituted independently from one another by a halogen atom; V represents -O-, a diphenylmethylene group, a linear, branched or alicyclic divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbons, -SO2-, -S-, -CO-, or -N(R12)-; the hydrogen atoms contained in the hydrocarbon group may be substituted independently from one another by a halogen atom; and R12 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbons, optionally substituted with a halogen atom) [In formula (2): Z represents a divalent organic group; and X is as defined in the formula (1)].
