Abstract:
Provided are: a molded article which includes a polyarylene sulfide (PAS) resin and glass fiber, and with which a decrease in mechanical strength even in a hot water atmosphere and in an acidic condition can be suppressed; a PAS resin composition capable of providing the molded article; and methods for producing the molded article and the PAS resin composition. More specifically, provided are a PAS resin composition, a molded article, and methods for producing the PAS resin composition and the molded article, the PAS resin composition being obtained by mixing, as essential components, 10-100 parts by mass of a glass fiber and 0.01-10 parts by mass of a silane coupling agent with respect to 100 parts by mass of a PAS resin, wherein the glass fiber includes therein a ZrO2 content of at least 16 mass%, a TIO2 content of at most 5-10 mass%, and CaO the content ratio of which is 0.1-5 mass%.
