Abstract:
This polycarbonate resin composition for an optical component is characterized by having, relative to 100 parts by mass of a polycarbonate resin (A), 0.1 to 4 parts by mass of polyalkylene glycol (B), and 0.005 to 0.5 parts by mass of a phosphorous-based stabilizer (C), wherein the polyalkylene glycol (B) has an amount of less than 1.0% by mass of components which have a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 400 or lower as measured in polystyrene equivalents by gel permeation chromatography using tetrahydrofuran as the solvent, and has a number average molecular weight (Mn), determined from the number of terminal hydroxyl groups, of 700 to 2,600.
