Abstract:

Provided is a polyfluoroalkylallyl compound represented by a general formula CF3(CF2)n(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)bCH2CH=CH2 (I) (n: 0-5, a: 1 or 2, b: 0-3). This polyfluoroalkylallyl compound is produced by reacting a transition metal with a carboxylic acid allyl adduct represented by a general formula CF3(CF2)n(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)bCH2CHICH2OCOR' (II) (n, a and b are as defined above, and R' is an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms). In this production method, it is possible to remove free iodine derived from a raw material compound prior to carrying out a hydrosilylation reaction, without using an environmentally harmful metal reagent, and a polyfluoroalkylallyl compound, which can be used as a synthesis intermediate for a fluorine-containing alkylsilane compound having good handling properties, is obtained.
