Abstract:
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a microfiber with the cationic polypeptide ε-polylysine as a principal constituent. The present invention relates to a microfiber, containing at least 30% by weight of ε-polylysine, with an average fiber diameter in the range 10-2000 nm. It is preferable for this microfiber to comprise ε-polylysine, and also to contain a compound that comprises a fluorine atom and a carboxyl group. This microfiber can be preferably manufactured by electrospinning.
