Abstract:
The present invention provides: a catalyst composition which contains a polymer compound that has a structure represented by general formula (I), a catalyst and a catalyst carrier; and a polymer compound which has a structure represented by general formula (I). (In general formula (I), n represents a number of 1 to 2; o represents a number of 1 to 3; p represents a number of 0 to 3; (o + p) ≤ 4 is satisfied; each of B and C independently represents a group in which at least one group selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkyl group having an ether bond, a cycloalkyl group and an aromatic group is bonded to ring A via a single heteroatom, or a heterocyclic ring wherein a heteroatom is bonded to ring A; the ring and group of B and C may have a substituent; B and C may be the same as or different from each other; at least one of B and C has an aromatic ring; at least one aromatic ring of B and C has at least one sulfonic acid group; and a carbon atom other than the carbon atom bonded to the main chain and the carbon atom to which B and C are bonded in ring A may be substituted by a halogen atom.)
