Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a polymer modifying agent composition for modifying a polymer having an unsaturated carbon-carbon bond, which contains a nitrone compound having a carboxy group, and wherein the nitrone compound exhibits high rate of reaction even in cases where the polymer is modified at low temperatures; a modified polymer which is obtained by modifying a polymer having an unsaturated carbon-carbon bond with use of this polymer modifying agent composition; a rubber composition which contains this modified polymer; and a tire which uses this rubber composition. A polymer modifying agent composition according to the present invention contains a nitrone compound having a carboxy group and a zinc compound or a compound having a benzothiazole structure, and is used for the purpose of modifying a polymer having an unsaturated carbon-carbon bond.
