Abstract:
A novel compound useful as a primer for the production of a sugar peptide; and a process for producing a sugar peptide with the primer. The compound is (1) a compound represented by the formula X-C(=O)-A1-A2 (I) (wherein X represents hydrogen or C1-3 alkyl; A1 represents a light-cleavable linker; and A2 represents a sugar amino acid residue containing no part cleavable by exposure to light or represents a sugar-peptide residue containing no part cleavable by exposure to light and containing any desired sugar amino acid).
