Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] A novel glycolipid capable of forming a tubular aggregate which can be stabilized by polymerization; and a fine fiber or tubular aggregate comprising the glycolipid. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An asymmetric polymerizable bola-form glycolipid is caused to form a self-aggregate, which is then polymerized to obtain a hollow tubular fiber which is stable for long. The polymerizable bola-form glycolipid is represented by the following general formula (chemical formula 1) or the general formula (chemical formula 2): [Chemical formula 1] G-NHCO-R2-C≡C-C≡C-R1-X [Chemical formula 2] G-NHCO-R2-C=C-C=C-R1-X wherein G represents a residue formed by removing the reduced terminal hydroxy group from aldopyranose; X represents hydrogen, hydroxy, carboxy, amino, or carbamoylethylamino; and R1 and R2 each represents a C0-20 divalent hydrocarbon group. A hollow tubular polymer is obtained by polymerizing an aggregate of the polymerizable bola-form glycolipid.
