Abstract:
Disclosed is a polymerizable composition comprising a component (a): a polythiocarbonate polythiol and a component (b): an episulfide compound and optionally a component (c): an organic compound having a functional group that is reactive with the episulfide compound. The polymerizable composition can be cured to provide a polythioether which has excellent optical properties (a high refractive index, a high Abbe's number) as well as excellent dynamic properties (a high bending distortion, a high glass transition temperature) and can function as an excellent optical material.
