Abstract:
The present invention provides a polymerizable compound production method that enables production of, in high yield, a polymerizable compound used for producing an optical film or the like. The polymerizable compound production method according to the present invention comprises a step for reacting a compound represented by formula (I) with a compound represented by formula (II) in an organic solvent in which a base having a pKa of 6.1-9.5 is present, so as to obtain a reaction solution containing a polymerizable compound represented by formula (III).
