Abstract:
Obtained by the present invention is a material with which it can be easily confirmed that an antimicrobial or antiviral function has been imparted. In this polyphenol derivative, hydrogen atoms in some hydroxyl groups in a polyphenol compound and some hydrogen atoms in an aromatic ring are substituted by light-emitting functional groups. In this polyphenol derivative, hydrogen atoms in some hydroxyl groups in a polyphenol compound and some hydrogen atoms in an aromatic ring may be substituted by chain-like hydrocarbon groups. Furthermore, the polyphenol derivative may form a polymer material through network polymerization.
