Abstract:
Disclosed is a polypropylene composition having low gloss, a low stress whitening effect, and a low density. According to the present invention, a small amount of a melamine cyanurate/inorganic hypophosphite/2,3-dimethyl-2,3-diphenylbutane synergistic flame-retardant system is added to achieve a V-2 flame-retardant effect. A specific amount of a maleic anhydride grafted homo-polypropylene is added to effectively ameliorate the stress whitening effect of the flame retardant on the random polypropylene copolymer. Moreover, maleic anhydride forms an uneven interface on the surface of the composition due to the poor compatibility between the maleic anhydride grafted homo-polypropylene and the random polypropylene copolymer, thus increasing the specific surface area and effectively reducing the surface glossiness. The polypropylene composition of the present invention is suitable for preparing household products such as the housing of a child seat.
