Abstract:
A polyurethane composition comprising 0.5 to 5 wt.% of a hydrotalcite compound surface-treated with water glass; a polyurethane elastic fiber produced from the polyurethane composition; and a swimsuit or shorts having at least part thereof constituted of a stretchable woven or knit fabric containing the polyurethane elastic fiber. The polyurethane composition and polyurethane elastic fiber are excellent in chlorine embrittlement resistance. Further, the use of this polyurethane elastic fiber has enabled providing a swimsuit for use in swimming pool, etc. that exhibits excellent chlorine embrittlement resistance and providing shorts, such as inner shorts for swimsuit and shorts for incontinence, that exhibit excellent chlorine embrittlement resistance.
