Abstract:
A polyurethane foam sheet which is applicable to artificial leathers, synthetic leathers, cushioning materials, and the like for use in various applications; and a process for producing a layered sheet which comprises using the polyurethane foam sheet. The polyurethane foam sheet is produced by mixing a thermally molten hot-melt urethane prepolymer (A) having an isocyanate group at a molecular end with a compound (B) having at least two groups having active hydrogen to obtain a liquid mixture, applying the liquid mixture in a sheet form to a substrate, and bringing the sheet-form liquid mixture obtained into contact with water vapor or moisture (water) to foam the liquid mixture by the action of water. A third substrate is laminated to the polyurethane foam sheet to produce a layered sheet.
