Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a polyvinyl acetal composition which includes polyvinyl acetals having different average residual hydroxyl group amounts, and is capable of forming a sheet that has excellent transparency. This polyvinyl acetal composition includes 3-100 parts by mass of polyvinyl acetal (B) relative to 100 parts by mass of polyvinyl acetal (A) which has an average residual hydroxyl group amount of X mol% (X is a positive number), polyvinyl acetal (B) having an average residual hydroxyl group amount of Y mol% (Y is a positive number), and satisfying |X-Y|≥3. In addition, the polyvinyl acetal composition contains compound (C) which is any one selected from the group consisting of: a polyalkylene oxide and a polyester having a hydroxyl group; and a hydroxyl group-containing ester compound which is an ester compound of one molecule of an m-valent alcohol (m represents an integer from 1 to 3), and n molecules (n represents an integer from 1 to m) of a monovalent carboxylic acid. The polyvinyl acetal composition contains compound (C) at 0.05-0.75 times the mass of the total mass of polyvinyl acetal (A) and polyvinyl acetal (B).
