Abstract:

A pop-up hood device (10) for a vehicle is provided with: a pair of actuators (16) for moving a front hood (12) from a closed position to a lifted position; and a single hood lock device (14) disposed at the middle between the pair of actuators (16) in the width direction of the vehicle, the hood lock device (14) having an engagement recess (28) with which a hood striker (22) is engaged and also having a latch (32), the hood lock device (14) being configured so as to be movable from the closed position to the lifted position together with the front hood (12). The pop-up hood device (10) for a vehicle is further provided with: an affixation device (18) for affixing the hood lock device (14) at the closed position; and an affixation release device (20) which, in association with the operation of the actuators (16), releases the affixation of the hood lock device (14), which is effected by the affixation device (18).
