Abstract:
A porous aluminum fluoride having SbClxF5-x, wherein x represents a number of 0 to 5, carried thereon which is produced by allowing a porous aluminum fluoride to carry SbCl5 thereon, and treating the resultant product with hydrogen fluoride. The porous aluminum fluoride exhibits high activity as a fluorinating agent, a fluorination catalyst, or the like, is easy to handle, can be used in a flow type reaction process, and can be also used at a high temperature.
