Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a porous carbon that is suitable for a positive electrode additive and can improve the input/output characteristics of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery at room temperature and ensure the peel strength of an electrode. The present invention relates to a porous carbon that has a 2–200 nm pore volume of at least 0.8 cm3/g as measured by BJH analysis, a bulk density of no more than 0.10 g/cm3, a mode pore size of no more than 150 nm as measured by BJH analysis, and an average primary particle size of 1–100 μm.
